What’s going on???????
Hey how’s it going?
I’m not going to mince words here. 2022 has been rough. I’m getting by ok though. I’ve never done any off the cuff, “state of things” type of content before but here we go…
Where have I been?
Around. Doing things. Taking care of real-life situations and working on different projects for myself- one particular project is pretty important.
The Onion Games essay was supposed to be much longer and thought out, but right smack dab in the middle of writing my family and I suffered a great loss, and I lost all drive. One day I want to revisit that studio, but for now I’m moving on to other things. Thankfully Elden Ring came out just in time for me to distract myself from the horrors of reality, and I gotta say I’m proud of what I created out of that game. Part of me thought it was “cheap” to write something about a title everyone’s already talking about, but I’m still happy about it. I really do enjoy that game.
What’s coming up?
E3 baby!
Oh wait I gotta take this call…
I have bad news. E3 is cancelled.
Meh, we don’t need E3. We haven’t needed E3 as consumers in a long time, and I’m going to go deep into that with “E3 IS DEAD: LONG LIVE THE NEW VIOLENCE” coming hopefully in June, just in time for SUMMER GAMES FEST: CONSUMER SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY.
What happened to my FFXIII essay?
That’s coming, but it won’t be for a long while. I have a lot of stuff currently in the back burner and thankfully it’s sort of in the front. It comes out when it comes out.
What else do I have planned?
In a last ditch effort to appease the algorithm demons, I’m starting what I like to call “Multimedia Excursions for Fun and Profit”.
I’m starting a youtube channel.
What will start as short, 5 minute videos on games will hopefully blossom into longer, more thought out essays on…games. Look forward to it!
Will written essays continue?
Yeah!
The initial plan is to write an essay with all the usual embeds and what not, convert the final draft into a script, then make a video. Some essays won’t have videos, some videos won’t have essays, and some new videos will essentially be “adaptations” of previous works. I’m proud of all of my writing, but if anything deserves to be adapted it’s Be Your True Mind and God Is Dead.
IN CONCLUSION
I love you all. I’m excited to venture out into YouTube, and I can’t wait to show you what I have planned. -PA
